A Little about our History
When Edgar and Walter Johnson opened their first shoe repair shop in the old arcade in downtown Toronto, it was a gamble like so many other new ventures. With hard work, perseverance, and attention to detail, the store became a success. After a few years, they moved to a larger premises on the main street and began selling high quality shoes for the well heeled, while maintaining the shoe repair in the back. It soon became apparent that there was a need for custom made shoes to fit those odd shaped feet, and so the brothers taught themselves how to make shoes.
The business evolved into orthopedic shoes over the years, and Johnson Bros. became renowned for offering high quality, affordable orthopedic shoes.
Today, we look forward to the what the future has to offer and pledge to honor the high reputation for integrity, quality, and expertise we have become known for, while vowing to treat our customers with the respect and fairness they deserve. We are proud to stand behind our products to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
For your Health
Orthotics are used to correct a bio-mechanical imbalance; as we age, our bones shift due to disease, posture, or lifestyle. Functional foot orthotics realign the feet, eliminating undue stress on the bones and correct posture.
A wide range of materials are available (see orthotic form). All orthotics are made on your casts and can be functional or accommodating, half length, or full length.
When ordering footwear, please specify if you wish us to accommodate your own Orthotics. If so, indicate the depth at the heel and sole so that we may allow for sufficient room.
